Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. Who we are

Recouper ("we", "us", "our") provides a payment recovery service that connects to your Stripe and/or GoCardless account(s), detects failed payments, and runs automated follow-up sequences to help recover them. Recouper is operated by Karim Gommari, trading as Recouper (sole trader), based in England.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Recouper, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

3. Who can use Recouper

You must be at least 18, act on behalf of a genuine business, and have the legal authority to connect the Stripe and/or GoCardless account(s) you link to Recouper.

4. The service

Recouper monitors connected payment accounts for failed payments and sends automated email and/or SMS messages to the affected customers, on your behalf, aiming to recover the payment. Recouper does not hold, move, or have direct access to funds — we only read payment status data and send communications.

We do not guarantee any specific recovery rate or outcome. Figures shown anywhere on our site (including the ROI calculator) are illustrative estimates only, not a promise of results.

5. Your account and connected processors

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your login credentials, and for ensuring you have proper authority to connect any Stripe or GoCardless account to Recouper. You can disconnect a processor at any time from your account settings.

6. Pricing and billing

New accounts start on a free trial. No charge applies until Recouper successfully recovers your first failed payment, at which point billing begins on your selected plan.

  • Current plans and pricing are listed on our Pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly and are billed via Stripe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Recouper to send misleading, harassing, or unlawful communications to your customers, or to connect accounts you don't have authority over.

8. Data and privacy

Our handling of personal data — yours and your customers' — is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process your customers' personal data on your behalf, a separate Data Processing Agreement applies (available on request).

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Recouper available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not liable for failures caused by third parties (including Stripe, GoCardless, Twilio, or email providers) that are outside our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recouper's liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue beyond amounts directly attributable to our error.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the service.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
